Tuner: M3U & Live Stream Player

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Tuner: M3U & Live Stream Player Chrome extension. The extension is a local player for user-provided media sources. It is not an IPTV provider, streaming service, TV channel provider, or content catalog.

Data Stored Locally

Tuner uses Chrome extension storage on your device to make the player work. Depending on how you use the extension, locally stored data may include:

• Playlist names, playlist URLs, and playlist metadata.
• Channel names, channel URLs, logos, groups, stream type, and TV guide IDs.
• Xtream Codes connection information, including provider server URL and credentials embedded in the generated playlist URL.
• Electronic program guide data from XMLTV sources you enter or enable from your playlist/provider.
• Favorites, recently played channels, player settings, volume, layout preferences, and signal-check status.

This data is stored locally by Chrome. The extension developer does not operate a server that receives or stores this data.

Network Requests

The extension makes network requests so it can load content and features that you choose to use. These requests may go to:

• Playlist URLs you enter.
• Stream URLs included in your playlists or entered directly by you.
• Logo/image URLs included in your playlists.
• XMLTV EPG URLs you enter or explicitly enable from your playlist/provider.
• Your Xtream provider when you enter Xtream server, username, and password details.

Those third-party providers may receive standard request information, such as your IP address, user agent, requested URL, and any credentials included in the provider URL. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Tuner does not search public EPG catalogs, guess third-party guide URLs from channel names, or send your channel list to a public guide lookup service.

Chrome Permissions

The extension requests permissions only for its player features:

• Storage: saves your playlists, channels, EPG data, favorites, recents, and settings locally.
• Unlimited storage: allows large playlists and guide data to be stored locally without a small quota interrupting normal use.
• Alarms: schedules occasional signal checks for favorite and recent channels.
• Host permissions for HTTP and HTTPS URLs: allows the extension to load user-provided playlist, stream, logo, and EPG URLs across different providers.

Browser Features

Picture-in-Picture, Cast or Remote Playback, and Live Caption are browser or operating-system features. Tuner may expose controls that open or trigger these features, but it does not receive Live Caption text and does not operate the casting or captioning service.

Data Sharing

The extension developer does not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or analytics. Data may be sent to third parties only when your browser contacts playlist, stream, image, EPG, or provider URLs that you entered or enabled.

Retention and Deletion

Data remains in Chrome local extension storage until you remove it, reset Chrome extension data, or uninstall the extension. You can remove playlists inside the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its local Chrome extension storage according to Chrome's normal behavior.

Children

Tuner is not directed to children under 13. The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

The extension stores data locally through Chrome extension storage and uses browser security controls for extension pages. You should only enter playlist, stream, and provider information from sources you trust. If you use Xtream credentials, treat your browser profile and device as sensitive.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the extension changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
